Description
A charming pair of two-light artichoke-shaped wall sconces from the 1960s. Made from forged iron and tole metal, these playful sconces feature gilded leaves enveloping either side of the artichoke; the leaf on the left side is styled going upward, and the leaf on the right is curled. Most likely Italian. Read more about the symbolism of fruit used in decorative arts on our blog linked here.
