Description
A fine pair of bronze appliques (sconces) from the late nineteenth century. Originally, they were likely attached to a piano for reading sheet music by candlelight. Note the lovely lion’s heads, beaded scrolls and medallion moldings. Each can hold three candles. These will add a touch of romance to a space, providing a lovely memory of the time when candles were the light source in a home.
Condition and patina consistent with age.
