Description
This set of ten Christofle lyre-form knife rests, dating from the early to mid-20th century, is cast in silver plate, each piece featuring crisp lyre terminals joined by a slender bar, with a clean and classical silhouette. The surface shows a soft, hand-burnished glow, gently mellowed at the edges by time; in very good condition, with light surface scuffs and small areas of tarnish in the recesses that enhance the relief without detracting from the overall brightness.
